Divingusto: the Puglia Food and Wine Festival returns to Ceglie Messapica in the province of Brindisi on Saturday 24th and Sundayth 25 July 2010. Puglia, the region covering the “heel” section of the Italian peninsula, is rightly proud of its gastronomic traditions, and Divingusto celebrates the region’s culinary artisans.

Thanks mostly to its culinary delights, Italy was the runaway winner of the prize for “Best European Country” in the 2008 Sunday Times Travel Magazine Readers Award. Second place was given to Greece, and third to France; fourth was Spain, and fifth Switzerland.
